On October 24th, 2024, the YouthDMH COST Action officially launched, marking the beginning of a pan-European research network focused on Digital Mental Health for Young People. The kick-off meeting was held in Brussels, Belgium, hosted by the COST Association. Representatives from across Europe gathered to shape the vision and leadership of this initiative, which already includes members from over 32 participating countries.
This Action brings together a vibrant, interdisciplinary community of researchers, practitioners, and innovators with a shared goal: improving mental health outcomes for young people through digital technologies. The launch meeting included the election of key leadership roles, and the establishment of the Core Group that will guide the Action’s strategic direction.

We also held a COST Action Café that encouraged open dialogue around the Action’s five thematic areas. Across four rounds of discussion, participants moved between breakout rooms organized by Working Group (WG) and Management topics, allowing for rich, focused conversations on key themes. Insights gathered during these sessions will now help shape the ongoing development and direction of the Action.
YouthDMH COST Action is off to a strong start—built on collaboration and a shared commitment to improving digital mental health for young people. Stay tuned for upcoming news and opportunities to get involved.
